As a National Discipline Awardee, What Can You do to Make this Country a Better Place to Live in?

AS A NATIONAL DISCIPLINE AWARDEE, WHAT CAN I DO TO MAKE THIS COUNTRY A BETTER PLACE TO LIVE IN?

Being a National Discipline Awardee, my deepest desire to be a productive member of the Filipino nation and also to serve our country in my own little ways can help to make this country a better place to live. I believe that great things come from humble beginnings. Who can say, that the small things that a youth like me initiated will spread throughout the whole community, in the country, or even in the whole world.

From the values that I have learned in this school, I have formed the value of initiative, especially on things that I know will benefit many.

I will be a good example. I will always obey the rules and regulations of the school, so that my friends and acquaintances will also be encouraged to obey them. I will involve myself in the activities and programs aiming the welfare of the youth, especially street children who needs love, care and attention from someone by charitable works like feeding programs and education. I will also encourage my peers to lessen playing computer games and spend more time in more productive activities like studying. Also, to help solve the environmental problems of today, I will be eco-friendly. I will join environmental activities like tree planting, recycling, segregating garbage, waste management, etc. We reside near a body or river, because of that; I will ensure that no litter will be thrown there because it affects not only humans, but also living things in that body of water.

As a citizen of the Philippines, it is my duty and responsibility to always respond to the needs of my country and fellowmen. Even though I am not given the chance to be a Sangguniang Kabataan officer, I will still support all the programs that they are implementing for the common good, because I believe that it does not take to be a leader to respond to the call of service, rather it is the duty of each and every citizen of this country to serve even in our own little ways. Because, if we work together, through the guidance of the Almighty, we can make this country a paradise… a better place to live in.
